The Duke of Edinburgh's Skills Award (DofE) 
Touch Typing Registration Form

The Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Skills Course is a 13-week remote course completed from home with 1 hour of practice per week, for Young People taking part in the Bronze or Silver DofE Challenge.

Check eligibility for DofE Skills section:

​

  • As with all sections of DofE: "This activity may count towards your Duke of Edinburgh's Award Skills/Volunteering/Physical section, please check with your DofE Leader before booking".

  • This 13-week (3 month) course is suitable as the Skill section for the Bronze DofE Challenge.

  • This 13-week (3 month) course is suitable as the Skill section for the Silver DofE Challenge, if the participant's Physical section is 6 months long. Please refer to the DofE website for timescales - https://www.dofe.org/do/timescales

The Welcome Pack is posted to Young People before the course starts and includes:

  • Full-size USB keyboard with colour-coded dots to hide the keys

  • Activity workbook

  • Reward stickers

These touch typing lessons teach Young People aged 9 and over to type efficiently and accurately using all their fingers without looking at the keyboard, using online exercises and games on a licenced platform. We collect the Young Person's name, age, postal address, email address (if applicable) and their progress during the lessons, used solely for enrolment and to provide written progress feedback by email.


This information is used exclusively by typeify to deliver the course and personalised progress assessments. It is never shared with third parties. All data is handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, and consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting typeify.
